Where am I now?

As good a place to start as any.  In a hotel in Sandefjord, Norway.  Running Sales Capability training with a global paint supplier.  It's a brisk 4 degrees here.  No danger of frostbite but still a bit of an effort to get on the running gear and head out.  10km's was the target (bit of an arbitrary barrier but more about that later).  Found myself wondering, why am I not at dinner with everyone else?  Why out here in the dark and cold alone?  Sitting here now back in the warmth of my hotel room, I notice that one answer is: the feeling I get when I look back knowing what I've done.  We all know that feeling, this is no great revelation.   Nearly home after 9km's I realised I'd dropped my beanie back some way.  It was mental torture to contemplate turning around and going back to find it.  10km's was the target and the target nearly complete.  Bugger it, I thought to myself, just think about how it will feel when you've run a bit further AND return home w
